At this year’s ReThink HK 2025, Stephen Suen, Director of Landscape Architecture and Nature-based Solutions Lead at AECOM, introduced Natural Capital Investment, a groundbreaking mechanism developed with Napital over the past three years.

The sharing drew strong interest and engagement from participants, reflecting the growing momentum around nature-based solutions (NbS) and the urgent need for new models that link ecology with business value.

Building upon the Natural Capital Initiative (NCI), this mechanism provides a pioneering approach that bridges ecological stewardship and economic foresight. By treating ecosystems as measurable and value-recognized assets, it offers businesses a practical pathway to revitalize natural capital while generating tangible benefits.

Together with AECOM, offering technical support, we as the project client demonstrate how innovation, environmental science, and finance can converge to address the Nature Emergency and help accelerate the transition toward a more nature-positive future.
